Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca has opened with 131 rooms and suites, six dining outlets led by Nobu Matsuhisa and Dani García, and a Mediterranean spa on the island’s southwest coastline
Mandarin Oriental has opened Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca. The new property marks the brand’s first resort in the Balearic Islands and third in Spain, joining Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona and Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid.
Located on the island’s southwest coastline in Calvià, near the exclusive Puerto Portals marina, the resort occupies the site of the former Hotel Punta Negra, framed by Aleppo pine trees, secluded coves and sweeping Mediterranean views.

Set across five buildings and lush coastal gardens, the resort features 131 rooms and suites, some with private pools and all with sea views. Activities on offer include golf, cycling, tennis and yoga overlooking the coastline, while an art pathway connects galleries and installations throughout the grounds.
