Regnum may have only opened the doors of The Crown a little over a year ago, but it’s already earned itself a glowing reputation for five-star luxury and family excellence.

I’ve seen countless posts online boldly proclaiming this resort as the best for luxury family  travel. And I have to say I agree, 100 per cent.

Disclaimer: I haven’t visited every high-end family-friendly hotel in the world, but I struggle to believe there are many places that can offer the stunning elegance, luxury hospitality and brilliant family facilities that are available here, in such a beautiful setting.

The Crown opened its doors in 2025 next door to Regnum’s hugely popular Carya resort. Now, the hotels share facilities and guests staying at either property can enjoy the restaurants, pools and amenities at both sites, creating a truly vast resort with everything you could possibly hope for right on your doorstep.

Sitting on the edge of Antalya, The Crown really is the jewel in the crown of the Turquoise Coast. It is a sleek, stylish five-star resort that goes the extra mile to ensure a luxurious escape for adults while packing it full of fun and adventure for the kids.

The opulent resort stretches along the sandy beach with stunning views across the Mediterranean to the pretty limestone peaks of the Bey Mountains.

The setting itself is as stunning as the views, with lush, manicured lawns lined with soft grasses, delicate flowers, and pruned palm trees that rustle in the wind.

The rolling fairways of Carya’s 18-hole golf course – host of the DP World Tour in 2025 – cuts the resort off from the rest of the local area, creating a little oasis of luxury.

All of the staff are so warm and welcoming, doting on our girls from the moment we arrived, and making us feel as at home as possible. They treat everyone like celebrities here and, when you’re rubbing shoulders with real celebs, you leave feeling a little more star-studded than when you arrived.

We arrived (in style, via the resort’s private, chauffeured car) to the grand and lofty lobby where we were greeted by smiles, chocolate-covered strawberries and Champagne, all beneath the shimmering golden tree flourishing in the centre of the hotel.

From here, the opulent resort stretches as far as the eye can see, along the pretty white sand beach, and across countless azure pools and parasol-covered sunbeds.

Room

Our family suite – one of 343 suites and 15 villas to choose from – overlooked the park area where a herd of deer grazed on the grass. Our sumptuous suite offered two bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it ideal for a family of four.

We had a huge, cosy bed in the principle bedroom – perfect for lazy mornings with the whole family – but the highlight was the palatial bathroom; where marble floors and rich wood units were complemented by a freestanding bath with views over the pool, and a spacious walk-in wardrobe.

There are endless options when it comes to breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in between! I’m not usually a big buffet fan but The Crown’s buffet at Daphne Restaurant is out of this world – with a huge selection of dishes for every taste including a kids’ restaurant – styled like a diner where they can help themselves to their own range of dishes – as well as milk and baby food for the littlest guests.

From the main buffet, guests can enjoy freshly-baked bread, crunchy salads, and crowd-pleasers such as pizza and grilled meats.

Each night, the buffet changes its theme to a different global delicacy – offering a whole host of speciality dishes – so, on Asian night, we tucked into a delectable array of fresh sushi, delicately-moulded gyoza, spicy stir fries and colourful curries packed full of spice and flavour, plus pickled salads and meat skewers.

The dessert buffet had row upon row of intricate puddings from mousses to cakes to tortes, all resembling works of art. But Paola was my favourite place to head for a sweet treat.

The pretty Parisian patisserie boasted a help-yourself delicatessen to die for (I was, quite literally, in food heaven!): macarons in every colour, decadent desserts, golden pastries, and even a chocolaterie with dozens of truffles to choose from.

Everyone staying at The Crown enjoys an all-inclusive plus package (everything is included, except for some premium alcoholic drinks) so you can dine across all restaurants at both resorts.

Reservations aren’t needed at lunchtime when the beautiful seaside spots come alive, such as Alia; a Mediterranean restaurant with a beach club vibe where we had delicious pasta and fresh fish, while the kids lazed on swinging chairs and looked out over the white sandy beach.

At Riviera – a sun-kissed beachfront spot – guests can enjoy classic French cuisine with Turkish charm. And just a quick splash, swim and jump across the sparkling pools, is Mexa; a vibrant, poolside eatery offering Mexican street food, including delicious tacos, smooth guacamole, and tasty burritos.

For dinner, you’ll need to make a reservation for a la carte dining and this isn’t always easy, so I’d advise getting all of your dinners booked in at the beginning of your visit to avoid disappointment.

Yan Ji is certainly worth a visit. It’s a chic, contemporary Asian restaurant serving delicious Chinese food and sushi plates in a stylish setting with wonderfully friendly staff. Köz Ocakbaşı, in Carya, is a charming Turkish restaurant serving traditional Ottoman style cuisine. And there’s also a Spanish tapas restaurant, a Japanese teppanyaki eatery, and lots of other choices.

For traditional, local culture, Efendi is a chic and sophisticated Turkish coffee house, and for something a bit different, there’s Chubby’s Diner; a retro American diner complete with nostalgic arcade games, foosball tables, and even a bowling alley.

Come breakfast, the wide variety continues. The buffet serves dishes from around the globe; including local delicacies such as borek (small pastries stuffed with different fillings) or Turkish soft bagels. For a slightly more refined experience, you can enjoy a la carte breakfast at one of the restaurants or head for coffee and pastries whenever you fancy at the elegant, all-day Tartine.

One thing’s for sure, at The Crown, you’re never far from a bar or snack booth and there’s always staff on hand to bring you anything you fancy – even when your three-year-old wants a strawberry milkshake on the sun lounger at 8am!

The grounds across both hotels are as stunning with vines climbing over covered walkways and roses bursting into flower along pergola paths winding from pool to pool. There are so many swimming spots to choose from that you could stay for a fortnight and still head to a different sun-drenched terrace every day.

The curved lagoon pool is the perfect place to relax while the children paddle in the shallows; roller-skating staff are always on hand to bring you a frozen cocktail or pot of popcorn.

The heated saltwater pool is a good choice for cooler, blustery days (you can get strong winds here!) and, with waterfalls cascading down the rocks, it’s still fun for the younger generation.

Up on the roof is the sparkling adult-only infinity pool – one of two adult-only areas – with breath-taking views over Antalya-Belek; but our favourite spot was the cave pool, where we could swim through the waterfall into a cool, shady cavern. The finish on the pools is quite rough and scratchy so I’d advise swim shoes, especially for kids.

If you’re looking for a bit more excitement, Aqualantis is a fabulous little water park for the whole family to enjoy.

There are warm, shallow lagoons and a fun-filled splash park for little ones, with mini slides, showers and jets, water pistols, a see saw and even a swing carousel.

There’s a larger aqua zone with a huge climbing frame and bigger slides, as well as a calm lazy river and quiet, sheltered pool tucked away in a cove.

There’s a whole host of water slides to choose from, including full-size flumes and even scaled down versions for younger thrill-seekers, plus a large lagoon pool with wave machine.

There’s also lots to do here without getting wet. At the heart of the resort is a beautiful, sheltered adventure playground for the kids to enjoy letting off some steam under the shadow of huge tree canopies.

And Ali Baba’s Farm – a quaint little smallholding arranged around a pretty pond filled with Koi carp – is home to sheep, alpacas, chickens, peacocks, rabbits, and even flamingos!

Be sure to head down to the farm at 11am for the daily release of the goats, donkeys, and ponies – we were full of giggles watching them canter across the hotel grounds nibbling on the flowers and playing at the goat playground (yes, you read that right!)

The beach offers another playful paradise where rowing boats filled with sand make the perfect spot for building sandcastles, and a pirate ship playground is great for climbing. The soft, golden sands are peppered with shells and pebbles, great for collecting, and jetties jut out from the coastline to offer a secluded sunbathing spot away from the hustle and bustle of the resort.

Regnum’s kids’ facilities are truly remarkable with not one, but two kids clubs as well as a teenage club. Bamboo Jnr Kids Club is based in The Crown while the huge Bamboo Kids World straddles both resorts, and all are welcome. We took the girls over to explore and they had the best time crawling through tunnels, climbing in the soft play area, and sliding down slides.

Here, you can have a go at anything that takes your fancy – from cooking classes to mini discos.

The kids have their own restaurant and juice bar, as well as their very own cinema, a karaoke room, and an indoor sports hall. Outside there’s a park and – by night – inflatable games and bouncy castles to keep them going under the moon. The kids club is open until midnight so the fun never ends, even if it is way past their bedtime.

There’s a fun little train that runs rides around the resort and, due to the size of the property, there’s also a buggy bus you can hop on if you don’t fancy a wander through the grounds.

There’s a whole programme of activities and entertainment from early morning fitness classes to evening performances and live music, including intimate acoustic sets and huge shows in the outdoor event area, which has hosted global superstars such as Jennifer Lopez, as well as live theatre and performances in the 800-seater amphitheatre.

The spa is a beautiful space with a large swimming pool and a poolside juice bar, with a traditional Turkish hammam, steam rooms, Jacuzzi, and saunas to enjoy. Of course, The Crown also goes the extra mile and offers something special; something elevated; something exclusive.

The team here have developed a very special programme of treatments for guests, as part of their Longevity programme. It was developed to offer guests a transformative and holistic wellness experience, going beyond everyday spa treatments and aiming to improve long-term wellbeing.

The concept focuses on preventative health, providing guests with a tailor-made package of treatments to equip them with better understanding of their own health needs and a personalised wellness experience. Each package is bespoke to each guest so prices vary but the most popular treatments include cryotherapy, infrared therapy, and even dry float therapy.

The spa has invested in top-of-the-range facilities and advanced technologies in a bid to bring their guests an experience that provides deep relaxation and improves overall wellbeing. Many guests who have undertaken the Longevity Concept have reported improved sleep, reduced stress and increased energy; something any modern-day parent could benefit from.

In a nutshell

If you’re looking for the ultimate family getaway then this is the place to visit. With fun and luxury in equal measures, you can have exciting, adventurous days mixed in with lazy days by the pool being pampered.

This is luxury family  travel at its finest – with stylish flair. From cocktails delivered by waiters on roller blades, to a pool butler who will clean saltwater splashes off your sunglasses, to the pink Princess Spa so your little A-lister can have her hair styled to match mummy. They have, quite literally, thought of everything at The Crown.
